Ok, so my internet is out in 5-7 Ward, and I have a feeling it isn't going to be back on for the rest of the year. That means that these postings will be infrequent for the next week. Anyways. A few things:
1) I hate getting work on my car. I mean, really, could they make auto shops more skeezy or scummy. I waited 2 hours to get my oil changed today, with an appointment. I'm happy it's over.
2) I recenty ordered from Amazon.com, and it was a very enjoyable experience. I now look there a lot to see what's good.
3) My Cinco de Mayo was an eventful day, consisting of a final, a coference, a great Mexican meal up in the Roch, 1 Corona, 3 $.25 drafts, and more confirmation that there are some freaking weird people in Geneseo. I mean really, is it necessary to follow a girl into the bathroom (if you are a guy). Of course not. It was quite an interesting experience to say the least.
On a brighter note, if you are in Rochester and looking for a good meal, try Mex on Alexander Street. It had great Mexican food, although the service was awful. If you're in Albany, go to Bombers Burrito Bar on Lark Street for some great Mexican and Drinkys. But you knew that already.
4) It's somewhat nice that I finally have a ton of books to read, and the time to do it. I'm almost done with Losing My Virginity, and will begin Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Every summer I set a goal to read 10 books. I think the most I've gotten to is 6, but something tells me this summer I might make a run at 10. Let's hope so.
5) For the past 4 years I've heard so much about going out of your way and creating a network and all this jazz. Well I'm not sure how much I buy into it. I say this because I have never specifically went out of my way to "network", I've just had friends/co-workers/parents/internships/whatever and am beginning to realize that my network is a lot bigger than I thought, without a ton of "work", besides the living that I've done to create it. That's it for now.
