Brought It, Again

A few weeks ago, I read that Clap Your Hands Say Yeah was releasing a new record. I had their self-titled debut on my iPod, and I had only listened to it a few times. For me, "Is this love?" is the real standout track on the album. Their new album, Some Loud Thunder, is pretty good as well.

Two weeks ago, a best friend's mother passed away. It's amazing how strong people are. This friend and I have been friends for a while, and sometimes I think that she helped me with my grief after my Dad passed away, so I could help her with whatever she will have to go through.

I also realized after this event, how easy it was for me to tell my friends that I loved them. Sometimes I think our society is afraid of the word love. In high school, Frau explained to us that there are a number of different ways to say love in German. I think this is better than in English.

This past weekend I went to Buffalo for SUNYACS. It was a great weekend. The men's team was able to squeeze out a victory by 9.5 points. The women's team also did a great job finishing third. Both the men's and women's teams seemed to be in a very good place. From what I saw and heard, there was little drama, and both teams were closer than in past years. This makes me feel good. I don't know if I've ever been so proud of them. (I've probably said that before.)

At the end of the weekend, and what has been a busy and intense two weeks, I have come to face some decisions with my job. I'm not sure what they will be yet, but I should know soon.
