1) My life seems to have fallen into a routine that it isn't used to. But that isn't a bad thing. My classes are going well. Like undergrad, there are some that I am taking more from than others. But overall, I am learning a great deal. I am very happy I waited to go to grad school. It's not that I couldn't understand what I was learning now, but I feel that I have more experiences to relate the information to.
An additional thing about grad school that is unique is that I feel as though I'm treated with more respect. Maybe it's just me, but I feel as though I'm being treated more as an adult (which I'd imagine I am).
2) Living in Downtown Albany has been a good experience so far. The location is pretty close to a lot of cool things, and it is nice walking through Washington Park in the afternoon.
3) I started running again last week. Very slowly and infrequently for the time being. For those of you who do not know, I hurt my knee last spring that put me out of commission for about six months. I think I ran too much too soon on old shoes. This injury has by far been the most frustrating one of my life. After I finished swimming in college, I turned to running as my main form of exercise. Not being able to do it for an entire summer has made me feel out of shape and lazy. I've tried biking, but in general I don't feel as though I get as good of a workout from it. Even the little bit of running that I've done so far has made me feel better.
4) I haven't had air conditioning in my room for about 3 years now. To my credit for two of the summers I was in the Adirondacks, so the nights were much cooler. But in general, it makes a world of difference.
