Tell me what you need

1) The last few weeks have had a controlled steadiness that I'm not used to, but am embracing and trying to get into the routine. My classes are going well. The professors seem to be real laid back, which I like. But much different that what I was used to.

2) We took out AC unit out of our bedroom window today. Last fall we waited until late Oct until we took it out. The weather has gotten cooler quicker this year. I'm fine with it. I feel like I don't have a ton of time right now to spend outside.

3) P.A.T. visited this week for a law conference. We had a nice time catching up, as out schedules and distance haven't allowed us to hang out much in the last few years. It's good talking with him, I feel like there are few people who I can have and make such easy conversation with.

4) Next week, the Cardinals featuring Ryan Adams (Ryan Adams and the Cardinals) are playing in the Capital District. The show was supposed to be at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady. I was planning on going, and picking tickets up on Monday during my lunch break. I checked online a few days ago, and there were still good tickets available.

When I went to check on tickets today, it says show was moved to The Egg. Two thoughts ran through my mind:
1) This is great, smaller venue, close to my apt. I'm going to be coming straight from class, so this is more convenient.
2) Shit, small venue, less tickets.

I went to the Egg's website for tickets. It said that tickets were not available online at the time. I am utterly pissed. I know this message. It really means, sold out. I'm not going to see Trey due to the Alumni Meet in Geneseo, and I haven't seen RY&C since '05. I call the number listed on their website. I get put on hold immediately. This is what happened when the person on the other end comes back:

"Hi, what can I do for you?'

"I was wondering if I could see if tickets are still available for a concert?"

"What concert?"

"Ryan Adams next Thursday."

"How many tickets?"

"Two."

"Ummmm, let me see. No, I don't."

Inside of me is real pissed off. I waited and this is what happened. Early bird. Literally.

"Wait, we have ooonne, no two."

"I'll take them."

So I got the last two tickets to the concert. After giving all my info and getting off the phone, I realized I usually don't get tickets before concerts most of the time any more.
