Big Container

1) Where the heck to begin. With the obvious. School feels like it suddenly got kicked way up. I spent 3 12+ hour days this week between school, my job, and my assistanship. At the same time, it feels good to be working this hard. This was how my whole second semester was like last year.

2) This past weekend was a great time in Geneseo. It was the Alumni/Blue/White swim meet. I had a great 1000 Free with the other guys. I also got to meet a lot of the team that I hadn't already. Some real good people on the team right now. I feel like I haven't been back as much I should have over the last year/year and a half. Sandy came with me and really liked the town, school, feel, etc. One thing she did not care for was my old abode.....5 Ward Place.

Ward was never meant to be the glamours of all places. It was a place close to campus that was cheap and good for parties. I couldn't believe it when I walked in.

One of the funniest moments must've been when a senior on the team was dancing with Sandy and thought she was a Freshman.

I also found out that one of my good friends, P.A.T., is going to be a father. Congrats!

3) We went apple picking two weekends ago. I must say, these apples, empire and gala, are much better than the macs we picked a month ago. We also waited on line for an hour to get apple cider doughnuts. Not worth it if you ask me.

4) There was a shooting about a half a mile from our apartment two nights ago. This is saddening, because not only does it appear to be a random act of violence, but it was also done to a UAlbany student. I like to think that I live in a safe neighborhood that is in a city. I wouldn't consider the area where the shooting occurred to be my neighborhood, but it is still close enough.

5) They were giving out flu shots today at work. I got one and had forgotten how much my arm hurts after them.

6) I have felt surprisingly alright with waking up at 6 each day this week. The next step in the process will be to try and exercise early in the morning, something I have never enjoyed doing. I used to hate morning practice. The only time I didn't mind it was when we were doing doubles over intercession.

7) I have finally been listening to the new MMJ cd, Evil Urges. A good album that really builds and has a good flow. Jim James's voice is still something that I like because he uses it successfully as an instrument. At the same time, sometimes I think he's being too showy with it.

And lastly, American Boy is a real, real catchy song.

Thanks buddy.

Also, why the hell would you go online to buy doughnuts? Let alone wait an hour to do so.
