1) Well, it has been a very busy month. I feel like I am only now sitting down with relatively little to accomplish on my to-do list. I am currently living in Lomira, WI, about an hour outside of Milwaukee, and 15 minutes from Fond du Lac. For right now, I'm working 12 hour shifts, 3-4 days a week. Which means that I will be having 3-4 days a week off, for me I will always have Thursday, Friday, and Saturday off. And every other Sunday. I think this works well, as I always feel more pressure to work in the beginning of the week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday). The 12 hour shifts aren't so bad. I have two blisters on my feet, which could be worse.
2) A nice thing about the company that I'm working for is the food we get. They have their own food service, so they are not looking to make a huge profit off of what they sell. Each day, there are $2 "breaks". This can be a breakfast platter, sandwich, salad, etc, for $2, that is typically a real good deal.
3) Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to go to two weddings for people that I've known a long time. At my friends Brad and Elizabeth, I was in the wedding. This was a first for me, and it was a real fun weekend in Boston. The second was for my friends Brian and Kristen. A great time in Saratoga complete with fireworks. Congrats to all.
4) In-between the weddings, I drove myself out to Wisconsin, with a stop in Pittsburgh to visit PJ and Katie. They just acquired a new friend named Oliver, who is a great dog if I do say so. Pittsburgh is a cool city. For a long time, and still today, it has a bad reputation. But I'd say that it would definitely be a place I'd like to visit again.
