Don't step outside

1) My Thanksgiving was good. I got to spend time with Sandy and my family. Saw Phish and Guster. Phish played an average show. It was good, don't get me wrong. But the sets of music didn't flow as well as I thought they should. Guster played an absolutely outstanding concert. It was their "Lost and Gone Forever 10th Anniversary Tour". It was nice to be back in the Capital Region, as I know that there is a good chance I won't be there for quite some time. We'll be in Michigan for Christmas, and post January 13, I'm not sure where I'll be headed, as that is when I'll be done with my "factory" style work, and into an office job.

2) Life in Wisconsin keeps on moving. People ask me how it is out here. Let me tell you. It's not that much different than other places. Yes, the people are nicer. Yes, we are on Central Time. But I feel like people are looking for a big revelation and that there are a ton of differences. There aren't. One awesome difference out here though is they do have custard all over the place.

3) I've begun to pick up reading again as a leisure activity. I feel the need to keep up with Sandy, as she reads like a mo-fo these days. She puts books away on a daily basis. But then I have to call her out because she's reading young adult books, so naturally they aren't as time-consuming.

I live close to the local library here, and I recently went and joined. This past weekend I was there, and they didn't have the book I wanted. I decided to start browsing around. I had forgotten how much I enjoy just walking around a library, picking out books, magazines, cds, etc. that I might enjoy.

4) A big congrats goes out to my good friends PJ and Katie, for getting engaged a few weeks ago!
