Always helping on the beach, for goodness sake!

1) Last week Sandy and I got engaged. I had been thinking about it for a while, but I wasn't that nervous. I was more worried because I didn't have plan. I wanted to do it at camp, a place that holds a lot of meaning to us. But there were too many factors that could get in the way. A plan had been brewing in my head for a few weeks, I just didn't know when to execute.

Last Thursday I woke up, and decided that it would be the day. We took a walk around Washington Park, and sat down. I read Sandy a poem I wrote. I was too concerned I wouldn't know what to say, so about an hour before I left work, I decided to write up something. Then, at the end, I got down on one knee, and popped the question. What did she say you ask? Well let me tell you.

Nothing. After about 15 seconds of tears, I asked again. In which case she said "Of course". We were both real excited, and called a bunch of family and friends. Everyone was excited for us, which made us both feel great.

2) We had already planned a trip to Burlington, VT for this past weekend, so it was somewhat of a celebration for us. We mostly just walked around, ate some good meals, and drank some great beer. Burlington is a great little city, that just has good vibes coming from it.

3)Today at work a co-worker ended an e-mail with, "if they don't have it done it's on like Donkey Kong".

4) Nectar's:

The answer's the toughest part, even when you know what it is. I remember Tina pausing briefly, while in my head I was pleading for her to not say something sarcastic but to please say it soon because kneeling on one knee isn't comfortable. At all.

Congratulations again to both of you!
