Just so they can knock you down

1) This past month has not felt routine to me. In the past, Sandy and I have gotten into a pattern of visits and doing things together on weekends. Between her going to Camp Fowler, me going to Wisconsin and NYC, and her going to Michigan, everything has been thrown off. It's alright though, because we are both keeping busy. She begins school on Tuesday, and the summer will suddenly be over.

2) I was in WI for a variety of reasons. But one of the main ones was because the timing worked out for me to see my most favorite band. They played two of the most solid shows I have ever seen.

3) Last year, or earlier this year, I can't really remember, there was a show on MTV called "The Buried Life". A group of guys made this list of things to do before they died, and went around the country completing their lists, and helping others along the way. These are also known as bucket lists, or life lists. I've been wanting to do this for some time, but I never really got around to it. For probably the last 6 months or so, I just keep putting it off.

About two weeks ago though, I decided to just start writing stuff down. It's funny what came up when I started writing. Some of it seems outlandish (be an extra in a movie, but I have always thought it would be fun to do that). But other stuff, like doing an Ironman, is constantly on the forefront of my mind. I may share more goals or the whole list as time progresses. There is nothing that I'm ashamed of, but I feel like it's putting too much of myself out there.

Sandy and I also make up a list each summer of things we want to do. This past summer, we crossed more things off that list than ever before.

4) I'm really thinking about quitting Facebook. I'm not sure when it is going to happen, but one of these days, it just is.
