1) I recently stopped using instant messanger. I'd been toying with the idea in my mind for a while, just to see what it would be like to stop. When I got my new Mac, it didn't have AIM installed, and I figured that now was a pretty good time to try stop using it. It was actually easier to quit than I originally thought, and I find that it's one less thing to be concerned about. I still go on it, about once every two weeks or so, just to say, "What's up now".
2) I went down to the beach today. It was much cooler than at my house, and I had intended on trying to go for a swim, but it didn't happen. The water felt warmer though than I would have expected for this time of year.
3) In that past month I bought Rilo Kiley's "Take Offs and Landings", as well as "The Execution of All Things". They both have a rawer, more edgy sound than the tight and slick "More Adventerous". The male vocalist (not sure which guy it is, maybe the guy from Boy Meets World) is featured more. I could see how some people might not appreciate his voice, but there are a few songs where Jenny Lewis is backing him up, and it sounds terrific.
4) Lately I've been really into the Disco Biscuits. I used to think I enjoyed The New Deal more than Bisco. But now I'm not to certain.
