1) To reply to P.A.T.'s message about my critique of Harry Potter: I don't wish to believe that Harry didn't deserve a happy ending. He did. My only point is that things seemed to work out alittle too peachy. That annoyed me.
I did read the Scholastic book talk that JK did last week in NYC, and it definitely gave some more insight into the story. And yes, Dumbledore was gay.
2) In terms of the Yankees, well, hopefully this was the ending they needed. For the last 2-3 years, I've thought they have really needed to shake things up. Joe Torre was a great manager, and it will be sad to see him go, but things change. For a long time the Yankees have had one of the best farm systems in the majors, and hopefully now they will start using it more.
3) We bought the new Rilo Kiley disc "Under the Blacklight" last week. Shit oozes sex. But in a very LA, 70's &80's way. Is it as slicky produced as "More Adventurous"? Yes. Is it as good? Yes. There are some real gems, and this album is more accessable (easier to listen) to the public in ways that their first albums weren't.
4) Congrats Eric and Miriam!
