1) A few weeks ago we watched "Forgetting Sarah Marshall". It was a great movie. Not a typical romantic comedy, which I normally find boring and formulaic. I'd recommend it.
2) School has been really kicking in the last month. The year started out going slowly, but now it is full steam ahead until the end of the semester.
3) The election is finally over. Unless you haven't read my blog before, or can't look at my last post, you know who I supported. Sandy and I joked back in the summer of 2005 that we wanted to make Obama '08 shirts. Little need now, but it is nice to think that we talked about it a while ago.
The process is entirely too long and expensive though.
4) Last week we had free tickets to see Estelle, The Roots, and Gym Class Heroes at the Washington Ave. Armory. It was alright. Estelle has a real good voice, and even though I didn't know any song but "American Boy", she really knew how to work the crowd. The Roots were very entertaining, and very solid at what they do. As for Gym Class Heroes, they had this one guy on the stage that kept running around with a Gym Class Heroes flag. I'm all for big bands, but I have a problem when people on stage aren't adding to the music (dancers are cool). But to just wave a flag got real old and annoying.
5) It was announced this week that the owners of Bombers are opening a new German Beerhall where Noche was. I think it's a good idea. Noche was a good concept, but I could see how it wouldn't be able to take off. We've been going to Bombers more lately after not going there much the whole summer. The food seems to have gotten better.

I highly recommend the pulled pork tacos. Messy. Very much so, in fact. But as delicious as they are messy.
Plus, if a restaurant can entice you to drink dark beer you know it has to be good.
