2008 was a bad year for many. Or at least it would seem that way looking at people's away status on Facebook. I can't help but to think it isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
1) The US elected someone that excites people. He may not be the answer to our problems, but our country appears ready to rock and roll once again.
2) People realized that they were spending more than they could. The economy is suffering, but I am confident that we will emerge smarter consumers. There will be an end to this.
3) I got to see 4 friends get married. Each wedding was great and unique in their own way.
4) I pushed myself to begin to make exercising part of my every day routine. Not to where I'd like to be, but it's a work in progress.
For me, 2008 was a stable and consistent year. This is what I needed, after the roller-coaster that was 2007. But a date is a date. Tomorrow will probably feel very similar to today. Sometimes I look at my life as phases, and it makes more sense than a specific date in the past. Regardless, Happy 2009.
