Have you noticed recently, that nobody really gives a shit?

It has been a good week. I ended up going to NYC to visit Jeff and John for the weekend, and enjoyed myself. They live in Brooklyn, and it was nice visiting a section of the city I had never been to. The past two days I have subbed for middle school. The kids are relatively well behavied, and to be honest, some of them are very funny.

There have been numerous times that the kids start singing pop music under their breaths, or hum it. I can't help but to think that this is who record execs are preying off of. They know their target audience. Gen Y, with their buying power unreiveled to any other group of adolecents in modern day. I always forget that many of the songs on the radio today are specially crafted for these exact people. And some of this music is good. "Golddigger" is a great song. Maroon 5's entire freaking album is full of hit singles. Just a thought.

Bought Shine, by Trey Anastasio today. So far, so good. A more detailed review to follow.
