1) It has been a busy week. Thank you everyone for birthday wishes. It was a nice birthday, where I drank almost the entire Bombers Birthday Margarita by myself.

2) The weather has taken a turn towards summer today. It's great.

3) Probably the most significant jamband tour of the summer was announced Tuesday. It features members of two legendary bands, The Grateful Dead and Phish. One band consists of Trey Anastasio, Mike Gordon, Marco Benevento, and Joe Russo. I discussed this the other day. The second band is Phil Lesh and Friends. This band has been called the best post-Jerry project from a member of the GD. I'd have to agree. Rounding out the music will be a performance by The Duo (just Benevento and Russo).

Not only will this tour have a decent amount of anticipation, but it is interesting to note how it seems as though members of Phish are embracing their roots. They had to distance themselves from the GD in their early years to not get pigeon-holed. And now members of both bands are going on tour. They don't need each other for survival. But it doesn't hurt.

And finally, Trey and Mike. Two years after Phish called it quits, two of the members are now going on tour, with keys and drums in tow. They have already said that they will be playing old and new material. Is it just a matter of time? Who knows. I stopped guessing a while ago.

4) And finally, back to what is tradition around here. I am choosing the title track of Undermind, because to be honest, when I first put on the cd, and heard this song, I immediately thought of The Grateful Dead.

Undecided, undefined
Undisturbed yet undermined
Relocated not retired
Reprimanded and rewired
Mystified and misshapen
Misinformed but not mistaken
Reinvented, redefined
Rearranged but not refined
Unrelenting, understroked
Undeterred yet unprovoked
Reinvented, redefined
Rearranged but not refined
Mystified and misshapen
Misinformed but not mistaken
Undecided, undefined
