1) I bought a new pair of running shoes yesterday. Basically the same pair of Asics that I've had for about 6 years now. They felt great. It's such a good feeling wearing new shoes running. I hadn't realized how worn out my old ones were.
2) I made some mixes today. Like I said a few days ago, this is one of my favorite things to do. I sometimes forget how much music I have.
3) As I've gotten older, I seem to enjoy spicier foods more than I used to. Tonight my mom made pasta, and I mentioned how it seemed to have a little more kick than normal. She said that she had put crushed red pepper into it. Now this is something I would have never done, but it was pretty good. I'll have to do it again. On an aside, I had possibly the best chicken Caesar salad yesterday at the Fowler meeting. I don't know what makes it so good, I think it was how the chicken was grilled, but it was delicious.
4) Europe is right around the corner, and I feel like it's about time. I'm sure other people have worked harder than me, and probably deserve a break more than me. There's a good chance some of these people are reading this right now.
This weekend will be my first Sat/Sun off that I haven't requested since Halloween weekend, (days that I request off I have something to do, therefore it's not like a "free" sat/sun) and I couldn't be happier. I used to believe in the motto, "Work hard, Play hard", but recently I've been thinking, "Work hard, Play Hard, Relax". That's what I need. And after 5 months of 50-60 hr weeks, this is exactly what I need.

Hey Brian! I'd love a mix for my roadtrip to Michigan. Also, do you want Rilo Kiley back before you leave for Europe?
Are we still on for Tulip Festival? I'm pretty excited. I guess there's a baby shower at 6 p.m. that I'll have to go to, but other than that I'm planning to be downtown all day.
