1) Every night at camp, a staff member or members sing a lullaby to the campers. For the past two summers, I have always wanted to try and sing one. I like singing in a group, but not so much by myself. One day I mentioned to Jordan (musician extrodinaire) that I had thought about giving it a try. He immediately took to the idea, and before I knew it we were signed up for a lullaby. One thing led to another, and we had to postpone it 3 times. We finally got to sing it the last week. I choose the song "Sunshine" by Matt Costa (who by the way is 23 years old, don't I feel accomplished). I was pretty nervous at first, but then I just relaxed. And sang. Jordan rocked hard, of course. And at the end of the song, I was happy.
2) I'm starting to get antsy on the Island.
3) The other day, I was reminded of a book called A Stone for Danny Fisher by Harold Robins. I read it when I was 15 or 16 when we came to visit my grandma on LI and go to the beach. I remember my dad said it was a good book, and my grandma got upset because she thought it was trashy. But that is besides the point. One of the vivid things I remember about the book is that chapters began when Danny was moving. For some reason, after all the moving I've done to and from college, camp, and homes, I only remembered the book this past move down here.
4) The beach has been wonderful the past few days. The water has been calm, clear, and pretty refreshing. Cold once you jump in, but after a minute feels good. There aren't a lot of shells though. Not like I'm the type to go around always picking up shells, but, I do enjoy it when I find a nice piece of sea glass.
5) I only get MTV2 here. Not a bad thing, just different than the original I am so used to and rely on. I have come to realize that MTV is my default channel.

I really like that Matt Costa song. It's one of my favorites for singing anyways. I'm sure the BPitt's version is excellent as well. Take care of your bad self.
