1) Something that needs to change are stupid kids with their heelies. Let's look at the situation, which is a rollerskate/sneaker combo. Doesn't sound too dangerous to parents, but sure as hell does to me.
A few weeks ago on the train, I witnessed a boy, probably about 6 "heeling" down the isle, with his dad about 10 feet behind him, looking scared out of his mind. An accident waiting to happen.
2) Regardless, I've been temping for the past week and a half doing an audit for an educational organization. After subbing last year, working with kids the past two summers, and now this, I think that a problem facing school districts and administrations is that things don't seem to be that organized. The project I am working on right now is particularly frustrating, as my supervisor described to me that is should take three hours, but now is taking closer to a month.
3) Hopefully the staff up at camp is doing well, and are trained and ready to go. Good luck!
4) I don't know how I feel about all the new Facebook applications. I mean, what I liked about Facebook was how simple and streamlined everything was. With all these new applications, I feel like it's turing more towards MySpace.
5) Last weekend I went home unexpectadly and out for a drink in Downtown Albany. Some real characters. Naturally the bar we picked had the bacholer party in it. Something that I realized was how so many of the bars down there still charge a cover in the summer. I mean, really?! During the winter with the college (downstate) crowds this makes partial sense. But it was a slow Saturday night. This is Albany, not NYC. There's no way I'm going to pay $5 to get into a bar with a bunch of guys with blowouts and orange girls to drink $4.50 Bud Lights.
6) In the last few months, I've realized that I have been listening to my intuition more than I had been in the past. I think that this is a good thing. Not necessarily impulse decisions, but if something does or doesn't feel right, I'm going to trust my gut. For a long time, I thought that I needed to keep up and in line with some intangible thing. I don't really know what this was or is, maybe society? And maybe I still am trying to keep up, but I am more confident now that the decisions I'm making are better for me than in the past.
7) Last week I started making fruit shakes or smoothies. I'm not really sure which one it is, but they are delicious. In college we had this place that opened up on campus my sophomore year where I would go get raspberry/blueberry shakes that were great. I didn't take advantage of those enough.
8) This season of Deadliest Catch ended this week. I have to say, along with Entourage, my two favorite shows of the spring. Before this season, I had no idea that there were two previous seasons. Something about seeing the boats come into port with their families waiting was a nice ending.

10) I recently started using a loofa (sp) that someone recommended I might enjoy. Actually, it's not a real loofa, but more of the poofy ball thing as I was corrected by two females I know. Anyways, I've tried it a few times, and it does make my skin feel different. I like the exfoliating, but it doesn't leave me feeling as clean as the tried and true wash-cloth.
