1) This summer is moving at a much more rapid pace than anticipated. After having problems waking up early, I find myself at work by 7:30 each day. This usually allows me to be home by 5, and it is nice having the whole evening free. Many days, I head to the Y, and others I take it easy. But the time is always filled in some way/shape/form.
2) Something that I've realized I don't care for too much is Italians who try to overemphasize how Italian they are. Guess what buddy, I'm Italian too. You don't need to emphasize how big your family is, that you have dinner each Sunday, and everyone argues over whether it's gravy or sauce. I know for my father and many people like him that were born to Italian immigrants, being able to assimilate and embrace American culture was very important. I'm not saying it still isn't and I'm proud of my heritage. To me, the act that some display is getting annoying. Jager-bombs anyone?
