Where's Chocolate Thunder?

1) This summer is going too quickly. At the beginning of the summer, we created a list of things we wanted to accomplish. Not as much has gotten done, and there's a month left. Time to pick the pace up.

2) Last weekend we went to Syracuse to see Katie and Craig get married. I don't think either of them read this, but if they do, CONGRATS!! It was a great time, with good food, people, and music.

There needs to be some sort of rule about cell phones at weddings. You don't need your Blackberry at a wedding. It's real disrespectful to not only guests around you, but also the bride and groom. Having gone to three so far this year, I haven't even considered bringing it in to the ceremony or reception of any.

3) At work I've been listening to the Reggae station on Pandora. I really like the Dub sub-genre. Not something that is going to become my favorite music ever, but pretty good to listen to in the background.

4) I never watched the Chapelle show a few years ago when it was on, but watched the first season this week. I'm not as impressed as I thought. Some of the sketches seem to go on for too long. Others tend to just not be interesting to me. There's maybe one an episode that I find funny.

5) Coming out of the Y today we were greeted with a huge parade of American Legion people from all over the state. I like parades. Living where we do, we've now seen three this year. A highlight today was a guy who looked like Santa throwing out tons of candy.
