1) We're watching the opening ceremony for the Olympics. They whole production part was real cool, but for the life of me I don't really remember previous opening ceremonies. I never placed much importance on them. It was the swimming I always liked.
2) On Monday night we went and saw Lez Zeppelin in the Park. A decent all-female tribute band to Led Zeppelin. The sound hindered them, because at times it was muddy and lots of feedback. The drummer was pretty on.
3) Tuesday we saw West Side Story, also in the Park. I wasn't super impressed. The acting was good, but I remember going to the plays every summer and being real impressed. Especially with Guys and Dolls and Damn Yankees.
4) With the businesses of this summer, I realized this week I haven't been buying/listening to much new music. In the car, I'm basically tuned to NPR or still on Vampire Weekend. I need to work on trying to listen to more new music. Or old music that is new to me.
