Yanked on my tunic and dangled my stash

1) The last week or so has absolutely flown by. There has been a lot going on. I took last Thursday and Friday off with the intent to relax. Easier said than done. We saw a drive in which was great. They added a second screen to the theatre at Malta, meaning we could see both Pineapple Express and Dark Knight. I thought PE was good, especially James Franco. Dark Knight was alright, at times slightly overdone. But at the same time, very much what a Batman movie is supposed to be.

2) Last night we saw John Mayer. A really great musician. He is a phenomenal guitarist who at times I'm sure is frustrated not by his success, but by the types of fans he has garnered over his short but illustrious career. He really jammed out hard on a few songs, and it should be no surprise that my least favorite were the "poppy" numbers. I don't own one of his albums, but I must say that each time I've seen him I'm blown away.

3) Today was my last first day of classes. Unless a PhD is happening in the near future, this is it. It is the first time in my post-high school education that I'm not moving while going to school. At Geneseo I would move back each fall, and last year I was moving into my apartment. But really nothing is changing besides the addition of school.

4) I told myself all last year that I was going to take the bus to school. Tried to start out the year on a good note today and take the bus. It's a lot of unnecessary added time that I'm not sure will be happening all the time. I wasn't late today, but definitely pushing it.

5) My classes so far seem good. A different year than last for sure.

6) This past week I bought the first Phish cd's in four years (since Undermind). Live stuff, but still freaking awesome.
