1) I am not going to be working for Miller Brewing. I actually noticed out there that Miller Lite was all over the place. Hopefully they will have some good regional micro-brews for me to enjoy.
2) On the topic of beers, I actually haven't been drinking any for a while. As I somewhat alluded to a few weeks ago, I had been seeing a number of health care professionals. Well, most my physician's assistant. I was bit by a tick a little over a month ago. Three weeks ago, I began to have the symptoms of Lyme Disease. I hadn't felt like that since I had mono. It was difficult to diagnose, because I didn't have the classic tell-tale sign of Lyme: a rash that looks like a bulls-eye or a ring. However, it appeared after about a week and a half. After getting on the right anti-biotic, I've been feeling much better. But to play it safe while on the anti-biotic, I haven't been drinking at all. I sometimes wonder if I could challenge myself to see how long I could go without drinking alcohol.
3) Sandy and I saw Coldplay on Monday. Last week tickets were on a special...half price. Yes, the concert industry is in such bad shape, they are offering $20 lawn seats to arguably one of the largest bands in the world.
The opening acts were boring. No need to write about them. Coldplay was good. I can't say it's the best show, because it is a show, but Chris Martin is a much better frontman than I think a lot of people would imagine. There was a lot of intensity, and he interacted with the crowd very nicely. A few of the standout songs in my mind:
Fix You - a big crescendo, even though it's a sad song, I feel like it was still exciting.
Lost - I just felt like this song had a nice groove to it. Sandy makes fun of me constantly about how I dance at concerts, but during this number, I looked over at her, and realized we were both dancing/grooving with the music.
Acoustic Set - they played a few songs acoustic out on the lawn. This was a real nice touch. Green Eyes was standard. The drummer sang a song called Death Will Never Conquer and killed it. They also played Billy Jean acoustic. Very tight, in a good way. In my mind it's always important to have covers down cold, because when you don't know them, it's more obvious to the fans.
The house music before the show had Jay-Z's "I Just Wanna Love You" right before Coldplay came on. Made me think of high school.
4) I bought new sandals today. I was trying to find the Reef's that I normally get, but no place seemed to have them in any color but black. I tried on the Reef "Fanning" model. I told myself I would never get a piece of footware that could open a beer. I didn't realize how ridiculously comfortable they were.
5) Last week we went to Bros Taco's with my Aunt, Uncle, and cousin who were visiting looking for places for my cousin to live. I had been meaning to go for a while (like 2 years). I can't believe what I've been missing. I had a fish taco and chicken taco. The tortilla tasted different, as I'm pretty sure it's corn based opposed to flour based. The meat was cooked just right, still very flavorful. I will need to return prior to my departure.

If your performances at the I.B. and weddings are any indication, I imagine your dancing at more than just concerts is fair game.
