It's another beautiful day here in Geneseo. I just gave a presentation, followed by a meeting. My weekend has begun....kind of. I am presenting my poster in the Undergraduate Symposium tomorrow afternoon. The senior happy hour last night was a great time. I wasn't even planning on drinking much.....it happens.
Something that has been on my mind recently, politics. And I will preface this by saying I am registered independent and feel no affiliation to any party, and choose not to take them too seriously even though I am a political science minor. But back to the case at hand. We've got W in office, Bubba and HW have become newly found friends on some sort of quest, military in Iraq......what the hell does the rest of the world think about the US? I know you can go and read foreign newspapers, but I'm interested in more first hand reports. Rory was telling me last night about his trip to Ireland this summer, and how they the Irish assume that everyone in America likes W, but as we all know that's not the truth. I mean, like I said, I feel no loyalty to any party, it's just other countries must look at us, shake their heads, and think, "What is wrong with them".
The Jason Mraz concert has been cancelled/postponed. For the first time since Soulive my sophomre year, I was actually excited about a concert. And I know it's not Geneseo's fault, but I feel like we keep getting the shaft in terms of quality music as well as cancellations.
