Finally these last three days are over. What was supposed to be my psuedo spring-break turned into a lot more than I thought it would. I'm looking forward to getting more job stuff done in the next few days.
1) I really enjoy my ipod. At first I didn't think I needed one, or that I wanted one. But I must say, that I use it a lot more than I thought I would, and it really is useful, especially on me 33 mile trek to my internship.
2) I'd like to make mention of the suburban swim league. Not many of you will know what it is, but I spent 6 years swimming for the Town of Colonie team during the summers, and it was a great time. Typically the meets were relaxed, and everyone was friendly. One of the great things about sports is when people have healthy competition where they can try their best. Good times.
3) As I'm getting older, I listen to music, and I feel as though I can pinpoint a disticnt point in my life when I was exposed to the music, or when it really hit me. Tonight I put on Before These Crowded Streets by the Dave Matthews Band. Instantly I am taken back to the spring of my freshman year of high school, and certain emotions and feelings come rushing back. This is just one example that I recently noticed. Although I don't listen to the much anymore, it is still nice to know that these memories and feelings are here.
And by the way, I know at one point in my life I somewhat rebelled against DMB and whatnot and the "sold out", but they're not bad, an like countless other bands, I would have loved to see them in the beginning of their career. It seems fitting that I have eventually accepted their music after being somewhat against them for some time. Seeing Dave & Friends last year was a great concert, better than a lot of the other stuff that is out there.
4) On the topic of bands, check out the Addison Groove Project at www.addisongroove.com for a very very underrated jazz/fuck/fusion/rock outfit. They are great at what they do and put on a fantastic live show.
That's it for now. As always, more still to come. Stay tuned.

BPitt, just thought I'd point out the you humorously misspelled what I believe is supposed to be "funk" when talking about Addison Groove Project. Normally I wouldn't play the role of English major on a blog, but thought this particular error was worth pointing out.
