1) For being a low-keyed week, it has been very busy. Busy to the point where I don't like it too much. But it's almost over.

2) Today, I ate fish for lunch. It was good. An hour later, I had my first real allergic reaction to any food. My body was itching and broke out in hives. I went and bought some Benedryl at CVS and took one. An hour later, I was back to normal, but I also wanted to pass out. I didn't expect it to hit me so hard.

3) I had dinner with Eric, and I must say, that the summer is approaching at a much quicker pace than I anticipated. We could talk for hours about camp, and everything it means to us. It's strange what type of impact a summer camp can have on a person.

4) Local is the new organic.

5) This song was my favorite song for a while in high school, and to the day, remains one of my favorite songs ever. A cover, done by one of, if not the greatest power trios of all time, Cream.

I went down to the crossroads, fell down on my knees.
I went down to the crossroads, fell down on my knees.
Asked the Lord above for mercy, "Save me if you please."

I went down to the crossroads, tried to flag a ride.
I went down to the crossroads, tried to flag a ride.
Nobody seemed to know me, everybody passed me by.

I'm going down to Rosedale, take my rider by my side.
I'm going down to Rosedale, take my rider by my side.
You can still barrelhouse, baby, on the riverside.

You can run, you can run, tell my friend-boy Willie Brown.
You can run, you can run, tell my friend-boy Willie Brown.
And I'm standing at the crossroads, believe I'm sinking down.

-Robert Johnson

(Eric Clapton, lead vocals)

Did you have any idea you were allergic?? And I guess I'll keep fish off the menu for the dinner party!

I can't wait to check out local farmers markets. For awhile I've been thinking a lot about shopping "European style," meaning frequent (every couple of days or so) trips to pick up fresh produce and meats, nearly replacing my current biweekly trips for what's usually more preserved/frozen/processed items.
