Don't forget to turn the earth, so both sides get their share of darkness and of light

1) I've posted about holidays on here before. Today was more of the same, slightly shorter than normal. Our company was really only here for the afternoon. I went out (along with everyone else) last night. I slept until 12:30 today, which is incredibly late for me. I attribute this to 1) not falling asleep until 3:30am, along with 2) sleeping 5-6 hrs a night for the past four days. They were here when I walked downstairs, and they left around 6. I made some bread on the Island a few days ago, which we had during dinner. It was well recieved. It was a smaller Thanksgiving than I am used to, but still nice. My parents do a good job, it's just more the idea about holiday's that I enjoy.

2) I drove home during the night before Thanksgiving rush-hour traffic from Brooklyn to Albany last night in around 4 hours. There wasn't a doubt in my mind that it wouldn't take less than 6, but we made great time. I'm not sure if there were less people on the road or we made the right call by not taking 87, but things went well.

3) I can't stress how much I enjoy looking up at the stars when I am upstate. Something about looking up on a clear night is relaxing for me. But talking about my job to my friends and family, I noticed that my it is treating me well so far, and besides the commute, no real complaints.

4) Love Actually was on TV today. What a great movie. I like the ensemble cast movies. I should see more of them.

5) It's strange to think about a year ago, I was working at the Gap on Black Friday. The time really does go by quickly. It's still crazy how many people will be going out to stores and shopping at 5am.
