1) I'm upstate now. Leaving tomorrow because I have work on the 26th. I've been trying to downplay Christmas in my mind as much as possible this year. I think/hope its been working. I don't feel as disappointed as in years past. And I'm trying to do things at my own speed. Which is good.
2) I've been thinking a lot about the whole "green" revolution that really has caught on in the past year. What I've come to realize is that this could be our generations real calling. Thank you WWII/Greatest Generation, for building suburbs and highways, and getting us addicted to oil. It is now up to us to fix this mess. But are Americans' ready to give up their SUV's, and to buy locally?
3) I think this is the first time in recent memory that I've wanted it to become colder outside.
4) This week I got sick, and took Airborne for the first time. The people in my office swear by it, and I figured I'd give it a shot. It's not that bad. I question how much Vitamin C is too much though. I figured that on Tuesday, I probably had about 4000% the recommended daily value.
5) Pancakes are delicious
6) I went to Tower Records of Friday afternoon. The sale was up to 90% off. However, there was little organization at all. I spent forty-five minutes walking around, and picked up five Cd's. Four of them are some form of techno. Two of them I bought just because the covers looked cool.
7) Although the city still has a ton of people in it, business seems to have slowed down. Like many other things in life, I'm learning that the city moves in cycles.

Should you OD on Vitamin C, the results typically aren't that dramatic. Granted, I'm relying on the total fluke A- I got in Nutrition way back in the day at SUNY G, but if I remember correctly too much Vitamin C results in "expensive urine," meaning the excess is just flushed out of your system.
If you go too far, or keep it up for too long there's likely damage to be done (though I don't know what it is), but in general what you're doing is just wasting Vitamin C because what the body doesn't use just gets spit back out.
Hope your holidays went well.
