1) My Thanksgiving was alright. Nothing special. I ran the St. Clares Cardiac Classic, with about half of Schenectady. It was a 5K, which I realized are too short for me. I started too far back in the pack, and for the first mile was weaving in and out of everyone who was ahead of me. My time=nothing stellar. Around 20:20. My PR=18:15, on a gloriously dreary morning in the Spring of 2003, right before mono reared its ugly head.
Holidays still aren't the best, but I'm going to spare you the psycho-babble-BS, because anyone who reads this blog aready knows why.
2) Black Friday was an interesting affair. Not quite as busy at work as we had expected/hoped. I hadn't even heard that holiday spending is expected to be down 5-6%. I believe it though.
I did hear that due to the huge toy recalls in recent months, locally distributed toy manufacturers are doing gang-buster business. Fantastic.
3) Last Wednesday I had my first cavity filled. It didn't really hurt, due to the novocaine, but the one thing I didn't expect was to actually hear the drill in my mouth.
4) Around our apartment, we have a few plants. Plants were something that I always wanted, but never seemed to make the effort to actually buy and take care of them. Now that we do have them, I really like watching them grow, and making sure they have water and get enough sunlight.
