On your window

1) On the topic of Led Zeppelin, during my church's midnight mass on Christmas Eve, there was an acoustic guitar player who played a few X-Mas songs during the communion. During the whole time, I could have sworn I heard teases of Stairway. While we were waiting for the grape juice to be passed out completely, he busted right in.

"Is this really happening?"

"Heck yes it is."

Brilliant.

2) Another album that has been in rotation on the hill has been Lily Allen's "Alright, Still" What I like about it is that the songs sound different enough to be unique as their own pieces, but when put together fit into a nice body of work.

3) The New Hampshire primary is tomorrow. I try not to get too worked up over politics. I did in 2000, and we've all seen how the last 7 years have turned out. This has been a long, drawn-out horse race. And it's funny how wild it appears to have gotten in the last week.

Realistically, it sucks that only maybe 6 candidates get most of the attention. There are some less well known candidates that have some really great points to make. I'm not saying that every candidate can get equal media time and attention. And with both the Dems and Reps nominating someone to run, it makes it that much more crowded.

But something that I've come to realize is that you have to decide. I like Obama. None of the Reps candidates really stand out to me as being distinctive and someone likely to lead the nation well. Out of the Dems, Obama seems to be having the best dialogue with the people. He's also impressed me with his grass roots politics. But in NY, my vote won't "really" count. Therefore there is a good chance I will be voting Green come November.

Again, I know it's a social taboo to discuss politics. But this is my blog, and where I post my thoughts.

4) With that, for any interested parties, I'll be attending Live! With Regis and Kelly, on Wednesday.
