You couldn't pay me.

1) This has been my second weekend off in a row. Yesterday, we made collages. See below.

2) We also went to the New York State Museum to look at miniature sculptures made from everyday items. The exhibit was called "Look Alikes". Then we came home and ate pretzels. We're seven.

3) Onto bigger and more important numbers. Last night, Jeff, lead vocalist and guitarist from Basement Band came over and we got on the topic of the book, Then We Came To the End, by Joshua Ferris. The story takes place at an advertising agency in 2001, when the economy was turning sour. Sept. 11 plays a role in the book.

An interesting point that came up was that while reading fictional books, like The Good Life by Jay McInerney, where the days are leading up to events of 9/11/01, it's hard for me as a reader to not want to yell out loud that everything is about to change.

A second point that has come up is that are writers past using that as a date in their novels? My guess is no, but who knows for sure.

Finally, when we were at the museum earlier, we were looking at the Sept. 11 exhibit. It was pretty powerful, even though I had seen it before. There were a lot of families there, and little kids running around. We realized that some of these kids weren't even alive. There is a whole crop of kids that are getting older that have no recollection of what happened.

4) I really like texting the word going. I think it's because I only have to push two buttons, and my thumbs are parallel.
