1) Wednesday was a whirlwind day in the city. It began with some Live! With Regis and Kelly action. Regis was on vaca, so Mark Consuelos(Kelly's husband (I only found out about it the day before)) was the co-host.
They only got the audience into the studio only about eight minutes before the show began. The studio was much smaller than it appears on the tele. Something that I found interesting was how close the producers stand to the hosts. Literally 3 feet away. The guests were so-so. During the breaks, Kelly and Mark interacted a lot with the audience. We were on the tele for a solid minute during the last closing monologue. Finally, the winning number was 61, we had numbers 66 and 71.
2) After that, our day consisted of checking out the Dakota and Imagine circle on Central Park West, going to the Met, eating pizza, visiting the WTC site (which was all blocked off, couldn't really see the hole), going down to battery park to see the Statue of Liberty, and last, but certainty not least, Chipotle.
3) Last night I watched a good amount of the British version of the Office. I couldn't have imagined it being more awkward than the American version, and yet, it is.
4) The garbage for our building hasn't been picked up in over a week. It's not the end of the world, but still frustrating. But not for the old guy who comes by each Sunday looking for bottles.
