Sunday. Winter is here.
1) Lets see. Last night Brad and I went up to Saratoga for The Slip. They were great, although they went on really freaking late. Alittle discussion if you will.
I understand that bands go on later, because they want people hanging out, drinking drinks, supporting the bars and whatnot. But I think bands also need to realize that when they only come on at 11:45pm, and their first set ends at 1am, that some of their fans may not enjoy. And then these fans go home. There were a good amount of people who left after the 1st set last night. Probably because they had a long drive home (I got home at about 2:05), and were tired. But the music was great, The Slip have yet again reinvented their sound.
2) Subbing tomorrow. Should be a good time. I have officially become bored and antsy at home. I interviewed at Barnes and Noble for seasonal help on Friday. I thought the interview went well, and it would be nice to have more of a steady income, although somewhat small, right now. Plus a good discount.
3) Besides that, another low-keyed weekend. I can't help but to think about what else is going on, that I could be experiencing. I think that taking time off has been the right thing. I read an article today in the NYT that describes a good deal of college grads taking time off after graduating. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/23/education/23careers.html Check it out.
But, that being said, I've had enough of this no-organization life. I need some structure, and doing work around my house isn't providing it. Or any type of income for that.
4) Check out www.rocktheearth.net They had a booth set up last night.
