A nice and relaxing low-key weekend. After being gone for the past 3 weekends, it was good to just stay home, work around the house, and read more Half Blood Prince. I also listened to the guitar duets cd that I picked up from the Speculator Library today, it's fantastic.
1) Today I split a ton of wood. It's interesting, how sometimes I would look down at a big log, and think how hard it was going to be. But with one swipe, it would break in two. Other times, I would see these small little logs, and think, piece of cake, and it would take 7 swings before breaking it.
2) For those of you who don't know, work on the Fowler Howler (camp's 1st ever newsletter) is coming along nicely. I have really enjoyed getting involved with this project. As I keep growing and reflecting on my experience at camp this summer, I am constantly drawn back to the fact that we all have different talents that God has given us. Some people can get up and speak in front of big crowds about their spirituality, and they're awesome for doing that. Others, like myself, are more behind-the-scenes in what we do to help out. OK, enough holy rollin for one night.
3) Cream of Wheat. I freaking love it. I go through phases where I eat the same thing every day for breakfast for a few months. Some of the things have (in no order): pancakes, eggs, peanut butter and banana on wheat toast, oatmeal with raisens, and eggo waffles. Although I usually eat a banana every morning. Cream of wheat might be my current breakfast of champions.
