So it's Friday.
1) Finally getting this whole subbing thing into gear. It's taken long enough. I had forgotten how slow the real world works when it comes to getting stuff done.
2) In previous posts I have made reference to different scents that I enjoy. A favorite to add would have to be Coconut-Lime hand soap from Bath and Body Works. I know what you're thinking, a little girly perhaps. But it really is a nice smell.
3) My cold seems to have gone away. But a very large and uncomfortable cankersore has arrived on my lower gums. I doubt that I have ever had one this big, or this long (going on 6 days). My mom said for about 15 years she would get them like this every month or so, then she finally started taking specific vitamins, and gets one maybe once every 3 years now. Hopefully they will work for me, because I can't stand not being able to drink OJ without crying.
4) It seems like everyone elses blogs that I have read recently make note to how much they love fall. Well guess what folks, fall is here, and it sucks. So far, since being back in NY, I haven't seen the sun. It was cold and rainy yet again. Don't get me wrong, I love fall. But I feel like the older I seem to get, the "perfect" fall days that we all seem to enjoy are fewer and further between. After an incredible summer of warm, dry days in the Adirondacks, the rainy and coldness of the Capital Region is paleing in comparison.
I hate talking about the weather. Is this what the story of squirtle has come down to? Hopefully not.
5) However, with the rain today came a good opportunity to keep organizing my room. I have so much stuff that I just simply do not want or use, but is so hard to get rid of. Will I really ever need the pseudo-poster-alumni-diploma-replacement-thingy that they handed us at graduation? Probably not, but why should I throw it out?
I also realized that I want to put a tv in my room. Not that tv is that important to me. No, I could live on about 9 channels (MTV, CNN, PBS, Food Network, Bravo, NBC, and Fox Sports World). I won't be getting any in my room, but I like watching movies, or even having them playing as I'm reading or doing other random things like making to-do lists.
Which brings me to exhibit B. My room set up. I never really had control over my current room set up, which has become a point of great frustration (just in my head) since I moved in last May. I decided today that I can't live with the way it is. I've heard that the Chinese have a certain method for setting up bedrooms in accordance to where the windows are, in what direction the sun enters the room, etc. How they set it up makes it an ideal living/sleeping space. I am interested in how this works, because I simply do not feel comfortable with the set-up now.
Tomorrow I am going to begin experimenting with changing around my set up. My first step is going to be bringing in my old bed from 20 Hunters Run and kicking this big ass double out. It's been a nice few months, but it just didn't live up to my expectations.

Coconut Lime eh? Just the hand soap, or the scent in general? Interesting...
i can't believe you're passing up a grown-up person bed for the collegiate sized child one that i'm still forced to use in my less than spacious apartment. what you are so carelessly throwing away is what i, one day, aspire to have for myself.
foolish bpitt, foolish.
