Saturday August 6, 2005 Horizons
What a fantastic week. By far my favorite so far. The kids were very focused. Which was nice. We went on a trip to Goldmine Falls on Thursday. I almost had to get the van twoed. Luckily we pushed it out of the ditch.
Tonight is our staff dinner. It seems strange to think that the summer is really coming to a close. This has been the best summer I have had in a while.
A nice day/weekend at home. I got a lot of things done that I had been meaning to (throwing out useless stuff I brought home from college, getting the materials for my portfolio together, etc).
I watched Dazed and Confused on TV tonight. What a great movie. I have also been listening a lot to the new Coldplay Cd, "X & Y" recently. I heard people say that it sounded too much like, "A Rush...", but you know what, I liked that album, and I like this one. Kyle and I talked about the ongoing "Space" theme that I keep hearing emerge in the lyrics and the music. We then went on to discuss other themes that we had heard with bands, Phish and the ongoing water theme, Dave Matthews Band and the dreaming theme. I'm sure there are plenty more.
