I like Turtles

My life seems to be moving at a decent pace again. Which I like. I can't sit still for too long or I tend to get antsy.

1) Most important news first. The way it looks right now I'm heading down to Louisiana on Sunday afternoon until Thursday afternoon. My church youth group packed 50 boxes worth of stuff, and it would cost less to drive them down, then to ship them. They need to go to a specific town, where my church had done mission work. Hopefully this will happen, and as strange as it sounds, I feel as though this may be one of the reasons why I didn't rush into a job.

2) I can't help but to enjoy reading pop-fiction. I am currently enthralled in The General's Daughter by Nelson DeMille. This is one of the few novels by him I haven't read. And even though it's not the greatest story, it really is a page-turner. I mean, I've enjoyed a lot of the auto-biographies, contemporary books that I have read in the last few years. But for light reading, and something to dig into, give me pop-fiction.

3) Fall, please arrive. Love, the Northeast.

4) After going to a fundraising meeting for camp, it is crazy to see how much stuff goes on behind the scenes to make sure that 1000 kids or so have a great summer. It is great to be a part of it.
